Job description

We’re on the search for a Full-Time Assistant Manager that will help lead the loudest store in the mall. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives related to sales targets, recruiting, and development. You’re like Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker rolled into one; you can handle anything that comes your way while driving sales and building lifelong relationships with our customers.

What You'll Do
  1. Support your Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comparable sales goals.
  2. Help recruit, develop, and retain a passionate, collaborative team to run your store alongside you.
  3. Create buzz and customer engagement through promoting new products, utilizing social media platforms, and offering benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
  4. Provide leadership to ensure the store operates soundly; balance operations, delegation/autonomy, and customer-first selling practices.
  5. Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
  6. Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners regarding trends and customer feedback.
  7. Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies to meet sales targets.
  8. Merchandise the store effectively, leveraging planograms, and ensure all promotions launch on time.
  9. Partner with your Store Manager to develop a high-performing, customer-focused team of loyal associates.
What You'll Need
  1. At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
  2. Proven success in leading teams, with skills in communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising), and team development.
  3. Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
  4. A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.
  5. Ability to adapt quickly and handle the fast-changing retail environment.
  6. Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
