Job summary

MNP Labs in Calgary is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern web applications end to end, spanning front-end React and back-end NextJS on the Azure platform.

You will contribute to API design, integrations with third-party services, and CI/CD practices, while leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance delivery and code quality. A growth mindset and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience at production scale, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Strong back-end experience withNextJS, NodeJS, and the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions). Experience with package management is an asset.
Solid understanding of API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
Experience integrating third-party APIs.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to aid in development, review code, write tests, and debug, with the judgment tovalidateand own the output.
Familiarity with secure development practices and version control (Git).
Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and collaboration is an asset.
A growth mindset and a genuine willingness to work with new and emerging technologies.
ABachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Debug, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis on issues across the stack.
Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, automate repetitive work, and improve code quality, with the judgment to validate and own the output.

Collaboration & Adaptability

Collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Owner, and engineers using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Teams.
Contribute acrossdifferent productsand areas of the stack as priorities are planned and set.
Maintain a willingness to work with new and emerging technologies beyond the core stack.
Bring a continuous improvement mindset, suggesting better ways to build and deliver.
