Full Stack Engineer (Node + React) Canada

Our clients include Amazon, Evernote, Intel, HP, Reddit, Pinterest, AT&T, T-Mobile, Starbucks, and LinkedIn. Working with Akvelon means collaborating with some of the best engineering teams worldwide and working with diverse technology stacks to build enterprise, CRM, LOB, cloud, AI, machine learning, cross-platform, mobile, and other applications tailored to client needs.

The project involves developing a financial software and services application—a platform for corporate expense management. It offers banking card services (credit/debit), a web application for management and reporting, and mobile apps for Spenders. The goal is to provide an easy, user-friendly solution for complex corporate financial challenges.

The role involves approximately 70% backend development and 30% frontend work.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript
• Proficient in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SFTP, API Gateway)
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch 6
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• Experience with GraphQL
• Knowledge of MongoDB

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features
• Write robust unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Design and optimize backend services focusing on performance, security, and scalability
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production using AWS tools
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes and best practices
