Job Description:
Bright Bridge Autism Care Ltd. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for their HealthTech startup focused on autism care. This role is based in Victoria, BC, with a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor Degree and experience in full stack development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain web and mobile applications.
- Develop features such as AI-driven Parent Coach, child development training modules, real-time data dashboards, chat support, onboarding, secure login, and role-based access.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and clinical teams to ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian healthcare data security and privacy standards (PHIPA/PIPEDA).
- Contribute to defining and growing the engineering culture and technology stack.
Who You Are:
An autonomous, resourceful developer excited about building from scratch in a startup environment. You care about code quality and the mission.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of full stack development experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) and backend (Node.js, Django)
- Experience with cloud services (Firebase, AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL), API design, and secure authentication
- Understanding of responsive design and accessibility
Preferred Extras:
- Experience with healthcare platforms, AI integrations, or autism-related tech
- Bilingual in English & Mandarin or experience with diverse user bases
