Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its Sensors Infrastructure team and support the modernization of applications used in clinical research and wearable-device data management.

This role centers on rebuilding the Study Device Portal with a React frontend and Go-based backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Go for backend services.
• Frontend experience with React and full-stack integration.
• Designing and integrating APIs and services (gRPC/REST).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React-based frontend applications supporting the Study Device Portal.
• Help rebuild and migrate the Study Device Portal using internal systems, shared components, and engineering standards.
• Develop, maintain, and scale Go-based backend services supporting wearable-device data ingestion and application functionality.
• Integrate backend services through APIs and gRPC-based communication.
• Support authentication, authorization, and integration with identity management and ingestion services.
• Work across the full technical stack, including frontend components, backend architecture, pipeline configurations, and healthcare data models.
• Integrate applications with cloud-based databases and analytical data platforms.
• Support the development of participant compliance monitoring tools, dashboards, and reporting views.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver application improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and application maintenance.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Independently manage assigned development tasks while collaborating with senior engineers on complex challenges.
• Support production application troubleshooting and eventually participate in an established on-call rotation.
