Improving Vancouver is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to lead hands-on product development across a modern frontend/backend platform. You will own the technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive complex features from concept to production, balancing velocity with architectural excellence.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to refine requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver incremental value while upholding security and quality standards.

Formación

• Expertise in building fullstack web apps using TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Experience delivering cloud-native apps with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, software architecture, testing and security.
• Proven technical leadership and mentorship experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

We’re seeking an exceptional Senior Fullstack Developer to join our engineering team in shipping products, not websites or artifacts. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll drive product development across a sophisticated backend-frontend architecture (65% frontend, 35% backend). You’ll own technical strategy, lead high-performing teams, and deliver complex features end-to-end, all while maintaining the architectural excellence and security practices that define our platform. What You’ll Do

Own the delivery of complex products across a modern frontend/backend platform while providing hands‑on technical leadership.

• Build & Deliver– Complete end to end Fullstack development, from APIs and real-time services to frontend experiences, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
• Lead Architecture - Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions, define architecture, and balance long-term maintainability with delivery speed.
• Drive Product Outcomes - Partner closely with product and engineering teams to refine requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver incremental value to customers.
• Champion Engineering Excellence - Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, performance, and security. Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to elevate team capability.
• Own Releases - Manage the full lifecycle of feature delivery, including CI/CD, security remediation, dependency management, documentation, compliance, and production releases.
• Continuously Improve- Measure outcomes, optimize team practices, and leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.

Must‑Have Skills

• Expert in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience delivering cloud-native applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, testing, and security
• Proven technical leadership and mentorship experience
• Effective use of AI-assisted development tools

Nice To Have

• Experience with Redis, Electron, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with observability, data platforms, and security best practices
• Experience with AI-assisted development and agent-based workflows
