Job summary

Randstad Digital in Toronto is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer for a 12-month contract position with a major financial institution. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performing software solutions across cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setting.

The role focuses on building RESTful APIs, modern UIs with Angular/React/Vue, and database optimization. Strong knowledge of .NET technologies, SQL, and cloud services is required, with prior financial services experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development experience.
• Strong SQL with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with microservices, OOP, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud services (Azure or AWS).
• Desirable: prior experience in financial services or banking domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable code using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Develop modern UIs using Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Build, consume, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to automated testing pipelines.
• Manage and optimize relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and ensure security standards.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Stack .NET Developer for a 12-month contract position with a major financial institution in Toronto. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure software solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to modernize enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable code using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Develop modern user interfaces using responsive web technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Build, consume, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, testable code and implement automated testing pipelines to ensure high software quality.
• Manage, query, and optimize relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and ensure adherence to financial sector security standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Backend: 5+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, and Entity Framework.
• Database: Strong background in complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
• Architecture: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.
• DevOps & Tools: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud services (Azure or AWS) is a strong plus.
• Industry: Previous experience working within the financial services or banking domain is highly desirable.
