Product Development Engineer / Full Stack Developer

About Us

Evolute Power designs and develops advanced electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, combining hardware innovation with custom software. Our flagship product is a smart electrical panel with integrated metering and PLC-based load management, and we are actively developing new products to meet the needs of condos, commercial properties, and fleets in a rapidly growing EV industry.

We are looking for a multi-disciplinary engineer/developer to join our team. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to make a direct impact across the full product lifecycle—from design and prototyping to field deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development:
  • Enhance and extend features of PLC-based smart electrical panels and metering systems.
  • Experiment with new hardware and configurations to expand product functionality.
• Software Development:
  • Contribute to the full-stack development of Evolute’s web and mobile platforms (Vue.js + GoLang).
  • Maintain and improve existing code bases, debug issues, and build new features.
• Prototyping & Future Projects:
  • Work independently and with the team on prototyping next-generation EV infrastructure products.
• Field Support & Insights:
  • Monitor deployed systems, analyze device performance, and provide technical insights.
  • Collaborate with technicians, customers, and partners to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support for commercial clients, including assistance with system performance and payment integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

• PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text, Codesys or similar).
• Full stack experience: Vue.js (or similar frontend) and GoLang (or similar backend).
• Embedded systems: Raspberry Pi, Linux-based environments.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Electrical fundamentals (Volts, Amps, Watts, kWh).
• Experience with electrical smart metering systems.
• Database knowledge (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, InfluxDB).
• CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions or similar.
