Full Stack Developer - .NET Stack (Hybrid in Toronto) (6 months contract)

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in the Microsoft .NET technology stack for a hybrid role in downtown Toronto. This is a 6-months contractual role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building multi-tier applications in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and webforms, along with exposure to Java or Python. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable software.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain multi-tier web applications using .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Webforms).
• Implement and integrate front-end, back-end, and database components, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs to support integration with external services and partner systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Backend, QA, DevOps) to deliver end-to-end solutions that align with business requirements.
• Develop and optimize queries, stored procedures, and triggers in relational databases (e.g., Sybase, SQL Server).
• Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.
• Leverage Java or Python to facilitate specialized tasks, integrations, or microservices as needed.
• Adhere to professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, and source code management.
• Conduct performance profiling and implement optimizations at both the code and database levels.
• Produce technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.

Your Experience and Education

• Strong programming experience in multi-tier applications based on Microsoft .NET technology stack including C#, VB.NET, MVC, Webforms, Web Services, REST APIs.
• Experience developing in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with relational database programming (e.g., Sybase, SQL Server).
• Experience working within professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, and testing.
• Experience with .NET based server-side technologies and creating/consuming from a REST backend.
