You Are

UST is searching for a Full Stack Developer who will write complex SPARQL queries to extract meaningful insights from RDF data sources, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.

The Opportunity
  • Develop robust, scalable web applications using Java frameworks.
  • Develop RESTful APIs to support front-end and back-end integration, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
  • Perform SQL query optimization and performance tuning to enhance database efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines and Git.
  • Manage and automate workflows using Unix scripting to improve development and deployment processes.
  • Work within an Agile framework, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Engage with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Design and implement efficient search solutions using Apache Solr, ensuring optimized indexing, querying, and retrieval.

What You Need
  • Experience working with Postgres.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining RDF data models and knowledge graphs.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to develop efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Knowledge of Python for scripting, data manipulation, and automation.
  • Experience working with large-scale data solutions using Apache Kafka.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Quebec

Compensation Range: $89,000-$109,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
