Job description

Our government sector client is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their team! Key Details :

• Contract Length : 1 year
• Hours : Monday – Friday, 9 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm PST
• Location : REMOTE with one day / month in office in Richmond, BC.

Responsibilities : The DevOps full stack Software Developer III is responsible for developing parts of application systems (systems of engagement and / or systems of record) and integrating with other systems, including designing to fit into the architecture, prototyping the user interface, implementing, unit-testing, and integrating components that are part of the solution.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 6-9 years of equivalent work experience in IT.
• Of the 6-9 years, at least 4 years of relevant experience with agile methodologies and cloud, in a DevOps environment, involving continuous process improvement, IT development, unit testing, production support, problem resolution, analysis, and/or technical proficiency. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with frontend development such as ASP.net Core, Razor components, Angular 16 and up, HTML, CSS, and JQuery is desirable.
• Minimum of 1 year in an unofficial technical leadership role supporting, coaching, and mentoring intermediate and junior developers.
• Experience supporting high-quality team delivery in small team and complex enterprise environments, collaborating across interdependent teams, and removing impediments.
• Strong focus on quality, with the ability to manually and automatically test code through to production, and document tests for audit and reusability.
• Interest in understanding business processes and requirements to inform system design.
• Holds SAFe training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or plans to obtain certification within 2 months of starting.

Nice to Haves :

• Experience with ASP.net Core Blazor, .net MAUI is a plus.
• PowerBuilder experience is also a plus.
