Job summary

Jonas Software is seeking a mid-senior software architect to lead the migration from legacy systems to modern architectures. You will own platform design, set coding standards, and drive AI-powered enhancements across the core product.

You will work closely with leadership to align architecture with the product roadmap, manage external integrations, and ensure zero-downtime migrations in a lean team setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the new platform architecture — from legacy systems to modern stacks
• Build and integrate AI-powered features into the core product

Must-Haves

• Full-stack proficiency: strong backend (Node.js, Python, or equivalent) AND frontend (React or Vue) — required
• Demonstrable experience replatforming or migrating legacy systems to modern architectures
• AI-first workflow: regular use of AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) in day-to-day development
• REST API design, relational database design, and SQL
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
• Ability to operate with genuine ownership in a lean, low-process team

Nice to Have

• Experience with the hospitality industry or B2B SaaS products
• Microservices or event-driven architecture experience
• Familiarity with observability tooling: Datadog, Sentry, or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or AI agents in production
• Technical English sufficient for documentation and corporate team communication
