High Tech Genesis in Ottawa is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a fast‑moving software engineering team. You will build and enhance production‑grade applications across the stack, from UI to backend, databases, testing, and deployment.

You will collaborate with developers, architects, QA, product teams, and stakeholders, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions while contributing to CI/CD and Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development delivering production applications.
• Experience across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications and production services.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations to support application and business requirements.
• Design and implement efficient data models, database structures, and queries using relational and/or document databases.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience delivering production applications.
• Demonstrated experience developing across both front-end and back‑end technologies.
• Experience with at least one backend technology such as Java/J2EE, Node.js, C++, or similar.
• Hands‑on experience developing and consuming REST APIs and working with backend services.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with Git and source‑control workflows.
• Experience working with Jira or similar ticket/project management tools.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or another modern front-end framework.
• Experience developing backend services using Java/J2EE, Node.js, C++, Go, or similar technologies.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools or Agentic AI technologies.
• Experience modernizing, migrating, or refactoring existing applications.
• Experience working in telecommunications, networking, cloud, or other high-tech environments.
