Position: Full Stack Developer

Location: Hybrid - Primarily in Mississauga, ON

Reports to: VP, Technology & Integration

Start Date: Q2 2025

Cedric Millar is a leading 4PL provider, developing and implementing innovative technical solutions to solve complex supply chain challenges. Our suite of products includes:

  • Echelon: Freight, Audit, & Pay (FAP) Solutions – Streamlining invoice validation and payments

  • Lighthaus TMS – Transportation management system
  • CleanSlate Dock Scheduler – Warehouse appointment and dock scheduling tool

The Ideal Candidate

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of software development experience, specializing in React, React Native, and C#.

Technical Skills:

Frontend:

  • Proficiency in React and React Native, including state management (Redux or Context API), TypeScript, and styling libraries.
  • Experience with Expo for deploying React Native applications.

Backend:

  • Expertise in C# and .NET Core for building scalable, secure RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Proficiency in Dependency Injection (DI) for maintaining loosely coupled architecture.

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Experience with Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Application Insights).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.

Security & Best Practices:

  • Strong grasp of API security, including authentication (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT), authorization, and encryption.

Database:

  • Proficiency in SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) is a plus.

Version Control:

  • Experience with Git and GitHub, following best practices for branching, merging, and pull requests.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development:

  • Develop scalable, responsive web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and Expo.
  • Build and maintain reusable UI components, ensuring efficient state management.

Backend Development:

  • Design and implement secure, high-performance APIs using C# and .NET Core.
  • Apply SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for maintainability and scalability.
  • Utilize Dependency Injection (DI) to manage service lifetimes and dependencies.

API Integration:

  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and third-party APIs.
  • Ensure efficient and secure data exchange.

Testing & Optimization:

  • Write unit and integration tests for frontend and backend components.
  • Optimize application performance and resolve issues proactively.

Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, emphasizing clean architecture and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
