Job summary

Rang Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Full Stack Developer to drive a large digital transformation, delivering scalable web apps alongside cross-functional teams including Product Owners and UX Designers. You will contribute to discovery, design, testing, deployment and ongoing improvement within Agile processes.

The role is primarily remote within Canada with up to 10% onsite work; eligibility for required security clearance is noted. Competitive pay ranges from CAD 70 to 90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in Agile environments as a Full Stack Developer.
• 5+ years using Git / source control.
• 3+ years automated unit/integration testing.
• 3+ years with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years developing production apps with modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical discovery, research, and solution design.

About the Role:

• We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developers to join a large digital transformation program focused on modernizing digital services and improving user experiences.
• You will work as part of cross-functional Agile teams alongside Product Owners, UX/Service Designers, and other technical professionals. The role involves hands-on development as well as technical discovery, solution design, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement of digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in technical discovery, research, and solution design.
• Develop and enhance full-stack web applications and production services. Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable software components.
• Perform unit and integration testing and resolve functional/non-functional defects.
• Collaborate with UX and design teams to deliver consistent user experiences.
• Advise Product Owners on technical options and implementation approaches.
• Support CI/CD, application deployment, and production releases.
• Work with databases, APIs, integrations, and existing/legacy systems.
• Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and development practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for other technical team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer working on complex software solutions in Agile environments.
• 5+ years of experience using Git/source control in collaborative development.
• 3+ years of experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience developing and supporting production applications using modern application frameworks.
• Strong experience with frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, and software integration.

Nice to Have

• Experience modernizing or incrementally transforming legacy applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience working with UX, service design, or multidisciplinary product teams.
• Experience using generative AI or agentic development tools.
• Experience working in government or other large public-sector environments.
• Occasional travel/onsite attendance may be required.
