Job description

Position: Full Stack Dev Cloud and ML Student
Number of Position(s): 8
Duration: 4 Months
Date: September 2nd to December 19th, 2025
Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Canada

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Currently a candidate for a bachelor's or master's in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, data science or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment with international colleagues, showcasing excellent English communication skills in both writing and speaking.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, curiosity, and motivation to learn and explore new things while contributing as a dedicated team player.
  • Bring expertise in Java, Golang, or Python programming, as well as skills in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Git, Linux, scripting, and Full Stack development (client- and server-side).

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Interest in cloud engineering (private cloud stacks, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Skills in AI/ML in theory and practice, including the use of standard libraries like Sklearn, Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc.
  • Skills in using LLMs, like prompt-engineering, RAG-pipelines up to building own AI-agents.
  • Founded understanding of ML algorithms, especially neural networks, transformers, reinforcement learning, Generative AI/LLMs, and AI-agents.
  • Founded understanding of MLOps processes for ML development and runtime and/or LLMOps processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our team for emerging technologies (part of the Nokia Cloud and Network Services organization) on innovative technologies, software, and solutions in the domains of cloud, automation, and AI/ML.
  • Get an opportunity to learn and work on innovative technologies that will enable future immersive applications and meta-verse networks, such as autonomous networks, digital twins, GenAI/LLMs, etc.
  • We’re looking for talented candidates with a passion for software engineering, DevOps, Cloud, Kubernetes, AI/ML and Agentic AI.
  • Have an opportunity to work with the best of the talents from Nokia (senior architects, research scientists, and developers), and learn modern technologies and tools.
