The Department of Real Estate & Urban Land Economics at the Wisconsin School of Business invites applications for tenure-track and tenured positions (Associate or Full Professor) beginning in August 2025.
We are seeking a senior academic leader whose expertise will focus on real estate finance or household finance. The successful candidate will hold a tenure home in the Department of Real Estate & Urban Land Economics while engaging in interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments, schools, and colleges across the University.
The Department of Real Estate & Urban Land Economics at UW-Madison is home to one of the oldest and most prestigious undergraduate real estate programs in the world, consistently ranked as the top program in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report. Established in 1925, the program offers undergraduate, MBA, MS, and Ph.D. degrees, and is renowned for its breadth and academic excellence.
- Create and maintain a strong program of research.
- Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students.
- Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department, school, and university, as appropriate.
- Participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts with other departments, schools and colleges
- University and community service will be expected as appropriate.

Required
PhD in economics, finance, real estate, or related field required by start date.
Candidates will have demonstrated high-quality research with publications in top-tier journals and have shown evidence of teaching excellence, and academic credentials to qualify for a tenured appointment at UW-Madison.
Full Time: 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
