Job summary

The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking a Designated Early Childhood Educator to join our team, partnering with the Kindergarten Teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning program that supports children's development.

Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will collaborate on program design, environments and inclusive practices, ensuring a supportive learning setting for all students while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Two year Community College Early Childhood Education Diploma is required.
• Proof of current membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) is required.
• Experience of at least 6 months in an early learning centre or day care is required.
• Knowledge of the Ministry of Education full-day kindergarten program.
• Ability to communicate sensitively with children, parents, staff and the public.
• Confidentiality and ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Experience planning and implementing age-appropriate programs.
• Basic computer skills and strong organization/time management.
• CPR and First Aid certification would be an asset.
