Who We Are Kichton Construction LP is the Fort McMurray based Heavy Civil entity within the Kichton Group of companies which has been operating since 1963. Kichton Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 as the industrial division of the Kichton Group to serve the Energy and Mining Industries throughout North America. Since inception, KCLP has grown sustainably and exponentially, starting with 30 experienced team members in 2019, to now over 400 team members and over 300 pieces of heavy equipment. KCLP is proud to continue operating alongside our Community Partner, the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, as part of our NOHA/Kichton Joint-Venture.
Location/Job Details
- Fort Hills
- Schedule: 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off.
- Accommodations: Camp accommodation is provided.
- Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after rotation).
- Overtime: After 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week
What You’ll Be Doing
- As a Fuel and Lube technician you will be responsible for the lubrication service and maintenance of a variety of equipment including, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Scrapers and Loaders.
- Diagnosing & completing preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
- Greasing booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
- Lubricating running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
- Performing work effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments.
- Ensuring service trucks are kept clean, organized, and always maintained properly and ready for use.
- Championing our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
- Showcasing your exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrating your versatility by collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
Compensation/Benefits
- OT after 8 hours per day.
- $2.00 per hour increase after 90 days subject to a successfully performance review.
- $2.00 per hour bonus starting from day one that is paid out quarterly as long as there have been no safety infractions, disciplinary actions, missed flights or shifts, quits or dismissals.
- 9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay on all regular hours paid out bi-weekly.

Qualifications
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Fuel and Lube Technician.
- Previous experience driving a fuel truck.
