Summary:

Under the direction of the Team Lead, Site Operations, the Fuel and Lube Technician is responsible for supporting vehicle and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and manual labor tasks. Collaboration with site personnel is essential. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment/pre-access testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refuel and lubricate vehicles and heavy equipment safely and environmentally responsibly to maximize availability and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with general maintenance, cleaning, labor tasks, and duties at the worksite, yard, or warehouse.
  • Perform general labor, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, cleaning, and safety hazard removal.
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation.
  • Act as a spotter for vehicle or equipment movements if needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean three-year driving record.
  • Valid CSO, BSO, or combination of CSTS and OSSA certifications.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time position located north of Fort McMurray, AB, on the CNUL Site.

Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; days and nights, 11.5 hours per day.

Note: Flights and camp accommodations are available from Edmonton and Calgary only.
