Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a skilled Fuel and Lube Technician to support a large-scale civil earthworks project in Northern Saskatchewan. Join a safety-focused team working on heavy equipment maintenance, inspections, and record-keeping on a 14 days on / 7 days off schedule.

Camp accommodation is provided, with travel allowances or flights as needed. Competitive wages and benefits through CLAC accompany a long-term site operation in remote Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician on heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of parts and servicing of Caterpillar, John Deere & Komatsu equipment types.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a satisfactory 3-year driver’s abstract.
  • Class 3 driver’s license is an asset.
  • Transport of Dangerous Goods ticket and CSTS-2020 Fundamentals ticket.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fuel/lube trucks to safely service heavy equipment as required and directed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and walk-around inspections and complete daily FLHAs.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, identify maintenance requirements, and coordinate repairs as required.
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Operate fuel/lube trucks to safely service heavy equipment as required and directed
  • Conduct pre-trip and walk-around inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs)
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, identify maintenance requirements, and coordinate repairs as required
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician on heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of parts and servicing of Caterpillar, John Deere & Komatsu equipment types
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a satisfactory 3-year driver’s abstract required
  • Class 3 driver’s license is an asset
  • Transport of Dangerous Goods ticket
  • CSTS-2020 Fundamentals ticket
