Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Meat Supervisor to ensure exceptional customer service by coaching and developing friendly, well-trained staff.

The Supervisor will supervise the department and act as the go-to person in the absence of the Department Manager, fostering loyalty and engagement with customers and teammates. Responsibilities include leading and training the team, maintaining meat quality and rotation, supporting daily operations like cutting, wrapping and merchandising, and upholding food

Qualifications

• Experience in a meat department or equivalent setting.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Understanding of department workflows and product handling.
• Must provide two names for reference checks.

• Act as the key contact for the department in the absence of the Department Manager or Assistant.

The Meat Supervisor is responsible to ensure a superior customer service experience by coaching, and developing friendly, well-trained staff. The Supervisor will supervise the department and staff and act as the go to person in the absence of the Department Manager and Assistant. The Supervisor will foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

What You Bring To The Table

• Minimum 12 months experience
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Full knowledge of department operations and skills
