Medicine Hat College seeks a full-time, regular instructor for the Power Engineering Technology Diploma Program. Responsibilities include preparing and instructing classes covering all aspects of Power Engineering.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will join the instructional team, guiding students through hands-on training at the Cenovus Power Engineering Technology Centre, a state-of-the-art steam plant at the Medicine Hat campus. Duties include adapting instruction based on student feedback, participating in program and curriculum development, and maintaining industry contacts. The role requires a passion for teaching, strong interpersonal skills, and teamwork.

Qualifications:
  • First or Second Class Power Engineering Certificate of Competency, valid in Alberta.
  • Diversified industrial experience.
  • Experience in classroom training or instruction (asset).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching apprentices new skills.
  • Experience with instruction and office applications (asset).
