Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (or a member of the Human Resources Business Partner team), responsibilities for this position include supporting various HR programs through tracking of information, generating reports, and administering programs, such as :
- Supports Leave of Absence tracking; facilitates start and end of leave of absences, and communicates with all involved for set up and changes.
- Supports Workforce Management; administers changes for Regular Part-time status, responsible for temporary position management, supports the reversion process for the Human Resources Business Partners, and processes Exit Interviews.
- Administers Pension Program through qualification processes and enrollment, facilitates completion of pension forms, in collaboration with the Co-operative Superannuation Society (CSS)
- Coordinates and leads monthly Union billing cycles.
- Facilitates several Co-op Employee Programs, including Milestone Recognition, Graduation Recognition, Social Club, Boot allowance and Eco Bus Pass.
- Generates HR Reporting on a quarterly basis. Reports include but are not limited to Team Member Attendance and Turnover, Performance Management, Team Member Demographics.
- Supports Performance Management cycle at Saskatoon Co-op including data entry into HRIS and filing of documentation.
- Supports the annual HR Department calendar, primarily through conducting supporting activities for the Talent Management Calendar.
- Attention to detail, and adherence to strict timelines, in completing the work required.
- Responsible for employee filing as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Human Resources Certificate or Diploma.
- Minimum one year experience working in Human Resources and within an office setting.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Previous experience with employee programs and consolidating reports would be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Experience dealing with confidential matters appropriately, required to adhere to the terms of a Confidentiality Agreement.
- Work experience within a unionized environment considered an asset.
- Applicants must be available Monday-Friday (8am-430pm)
