We are looking for awesome, self‑driven Personal Support Workers to work throughout the Durham Region. Please note, we are only looking to proceed with candidates who have full‑time availability and meet the scheduling requirements below.

Scheduling Requirements
  • FT position available: PSW must be available for 37.5–40 hours of work per week
  • MUST be available Monday‑Friday, with flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred
  • MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing weekly schedule for the foreseeable future
  • Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans
  • Provide companionship and light housekeeping to help a person stay at home
  • Prepare meals in accordance with the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine)
  • Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
  • Assist clients in all activities of daily living (hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes, etc.)
  • Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises
  • Meet the safety needs of clients and use equipment safely and properly
  • Operate within the limits of own experience and knowledge, practicing safely and competently within the job description
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
  • MUST have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a car for daily work
  • Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas; an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
  • PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or an international nursing/doctorate certification
  • Negative TB test completed within the last year
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Valid WHMIS 2015 Certificate of Completion
  • COVID‑vaccination receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
  • Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and diphtheria required; hepatitis B immunization strongly urged
  • Valid criminal record check completed within the last year
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed
  • Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and to cooperate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Current/valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) registration an asset
