Job summary

Nova Hotels is seeking a friendly, professional Full-Time Banquet Server to join our Food & Beverage team at Chateau Nova Yellowhead. You’ll provide attentive service during banquets, welcome guests, respond to requests, and help ensure events run smoothly.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, with open availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Previous banquet or F&B experience is an asset, and a commitment to teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous serving, banquet or Food & Beverage experience is an asset.
• Friendly, outgoing and guest-focused.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes fast-changing environment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of banquet service.
• Open availability is required, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive food and beverage service during banquet functions.
• Welcome guests and respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare service areas before events and ensure everything is ready for guests.
• Serve meals and beverages efficiently and professionally.
• Clear tables and maintain clean, organized service areas throughout events.
• Work closely with Banquet Captains, Porters, Kitchen and other Food & Beverage team members.
• Follow event details and instructions to help ensure functions run smoothly.
• Assist with event setup and cleanup when required.
• Maintain professional presentation and service standards.
• Follow hotel health, safety and Food & Beverage procedures.
• Assist fellow team members as needed throughout the event.
