Job summary

A community-focused nonprofit organization in Vancouver is hiring a Workshop Facilitator, Critical Incident Responder to deliver critical incident response and workshop facilitation services. This role involves in-person and hybrid work across B.C. Candidates with trauma-informed backgrounds, including BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals are encouraged to apply. Competitive pay is offered, ranging from CA$60.00 to CA$85.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience delivering workshop facilitation or development.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in crisis management or trauma response.
  • Registration as an RCC, RSW, CCC, R Psych, etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver CIR / CISM and Workshop Facilitation services.
  • Travel across work site locations within the Lower Mainland and other regions in B.C.
  • Provide crisis intervention with virtual and onsite options.

Workshop Facilitator, Critical Incident Responder- Contractor Competition #38-25

About The Role

We are seeking multiple in-person / hybrid providers across B.C. and the Yukon to deliver CIR / CISM (Critical Incident Response or Critical Incident Stress Management) and / or Workshop Facilitation services. Special consideration will be given to candidates who are able to travel across work site locations within the Lower Mainland, in addition to other regions in B.C., where contract opportunities may arise.

Please note that this is a posting for two different positions, each requiring some travel to various locations. Please indicate your region and which position you are applying for in your application. Preference will be given to trauma-informed providers who identify as BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ and / or persons of visible minorities.

About Our Opportunity

  • Workshop Facilitator ($60-70 / hr starting)
  • Superior facilitation skills with the ability to plan and deliver a broad range of mental health and wellness-related topics, including workplace mental health, stress management, burnout and vicarious trauma, conflict resolution, and more.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience delivering workshop facilitation / development.
  • Registration as an RCC, RSW, CCC, R Psych, etc. is preferred.

    What You Bring

    Specialized skills and expertise in one of the following areas will be required :

  • Workshop Facilitation
  • Critical Incident Response / Critical Incident Stress Management (CIR / CISM)
  • Education, Training, Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree related to arts, human services, social sciences or other related discipline.
  • 3 years of mental health related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong commitment to working collaboratively and demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Possesses adequate knowledge of community resources and can suggest alternative supports when applicable
  • Flexible scheduling and can accommodate time sensitive requests within reasonable timeframes
  • Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with all client and agency-related information
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and maintains professional records and timely submission of paperwork
  • Competency and commitment in creating a safe space while delivering services through a social justice and anti-oppressive lens
