Frontend SharePoint Developer/Designer

We are currently seeking a qualified Frontend SharePoint Developer/Designer to work on leading-edge technology products. The successful candidate for this full-time position will be part of a highly motivated and technical team-oriented environment.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Front-End SharePoint Designer to revitalize our existing SharePoint 2019 (on-premises) environment. This role focuses on enhancing the user interface, improving search functionality, introducing new features, and providing strategic guidance to optimize SharePoint usage across the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. UI/UX Redesign & Branding: Modernize the SharePoint 2019 user interface, implement responsive layouts, develop custom themes, and utilize SharePoint Designer and SPFx for customization.
2. Enhanced Search Functionality: Optimize search capabilities, implement refiners, metadata tagging, and integrate Microsoft Search.
3. Feature Enhancement & User Experience: Introduce new features, develop custom web parts, workflows, and forms, ensuring accessibility and usability standards.
4. Strategic Guidance & Best Practices: Provide recommendations on deployment, governance, security, compliance, and assist in planning for SharePoint Subscription Edition adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in SharePoint design and development with a strong portfolio of front-end customizations.
2. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
3. Experience with SharePoint Designer, SPFx.
4. Solid understanding of SharePoint 2019/SE architecture, including lists, libraries, content types, and permissions.
5. Experience in customizing SharePoint search functionalities.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with SharePoint SE and AI-based content services.
2. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration.
3. Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
4. SharePoint certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer Associate) are a plus.
