Overview

The Cloud Centre of Excellence is accountable for the delivery of modern cloud services, applications, and managed services supporting our internal workforce as well as client delivery teams, with a focus on AI and technology innovation.

Your role will include the management of the frontend team, experimenting and evaluating emerging technologies, prototyping, and developing production grade web applications for our users. You will be dividing your time between classic management and development tasks, working closely with our community of developers and architects, and helping our clients to adopt our solutions.

This position can be performed remotely.


What you will do

  • Manage a highly skilled and talented group of developers. Coordinate tasks, govern delivery, report on progress, and assess risks continuously throughout an agile SDLC process
  • Design the UI/UX of complex systems in collaboration with UI/UX experts
  • Design, develop, test and deploy modern web applications.
  • Innovate, experiment and conduct proof of concepts (POC) leveraging cutting edge UI technologies and applying AI to reinvent the way we work and do business
  • Guide and instruct our business teams in their path to adopt the platform and help document technical solutions as needed
  • Remain vigilant about our company’s commitment to operational excellence, enterprise readiness, security and compliance

What you bring to the role

  • A university degree (or similar) in computer science or other related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience with hands-on frontend UI/UX development and management
  • Key contribution to complex application development projects, as a developer or manager
  • Strong communications, collaboration, reporting and management skills
  • Building web application with React.js (JavaScript and Typescript)
  • CSS with Tailwind
  • UI/UX design
  • Usability standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1, screen readers) and i18n
  • js , API development, and application data modeling
  • Unit testing with Jest, end-to-end testing
  • Git branching and source code management

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $128,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
