Job summary

Light & Wonder in Montreal is seeking a Game Developer to build interactive HTML5 games for web and mobile. You will programme using TypeScript, design components, and work with our proprietary engine to expand capabilities.

The role involves maintaining and improving games, debugging issues, and collaborating across global teams. A 2–3 year background in online game development and familiarity with Unreal/Unity are valued assets. This is a hybrid position based in Montreal.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in online game development.
• Experience in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience in the online gaming industry or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of the web or mobile ecosystem.
• Versed in client-server programming.
• 3D programming skills (Unreal, Unity) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create interactive online games for web and mobile using TypeScript.
• Work with our proprietary game engine technology.
• Design new game components with efficient architecture.
• Update tools and features to expand game engine capabilities.
• Integrate animations and sound from the art team.
• Troubleshoot and debug games per QA feedback.
• Analyze product requirements and provide technical insights.
