Senior Front-End Developer

Company

Client is a global financial technology company powering digital banking and instant payout solutions for today’s workforce. Client partners with major platforms (Lyft, Uber and more) in the on-demand gig economy to drive financial inclusion and empowerment for next-generation workers.

Client’s suite of products include Client branded and co-branded mobile banking apps and a debit/prepaid card that allows gig workers to get paid instantly, earn cashback rewards and get access to no-fee banking. Based on a microservice architecture, Client’s core platform has proven capabilities of processing high volumes of payments.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with experience in building highly scalable UI solutions based on a micro services architecture. You will have the opportunity of a lifetime to build new products from scratch. You will be working with a highly skilled cross functional team to enhance our core banking platform.

Reports To

Software Engineering Manager / Director of Engineering

Responsibilities and Duties

• Own the design and delivery of high quality features and enhancements.
• Provide estimates and actively participate in the spring planning process.
• Produce highly secure solutions.
• Tune the performance of the existing codebase and peer review code.
• Work closely with the technical lead and team members to design and plan components and interaction patterns, actively participating in design discussions and decision-making processes.
• Participate in technical and architecture discussions about our front-end applications

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience writing and working with REST APIs.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams working on features for our customers
• Familiarity with automated build pipelines; continuous integration or continuous delivery
• Proven experience using code repositories such as GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UX designers and Product owners to deliver the best UX for our customers
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality code using automated tests for unit tests and end-to-end tests (using Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace customer centric environment.
• 5+ years of experience in web application development using Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing
• Familiarity with deploying to cloud providers in and container-based distributed systems (Docker).
• Familiarity with *nix like environments
