Job Title: Frontend Developer
Location: Hybrid (2 or 3 days), Toronto, Canada
Experience: 5+ Years
Job Type: T4 Contract
Rate: CAD 45 to 55 per hour

Role Summary

We are hiring for a Frontend Developer to work on a software platform focused on modern web development and cross-platform experiences. The selected candidate will build solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and NPM, while collaborating closely with engineering, QA, and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality, secure, and stable software.
• Build and maintain web-based solutions that support cross-platform development and experiences.
• Participate in software design and code reviews.
• Develop task estimates, evaluate risks, and identify dependencies to support project planning.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, QA professionals, and designers across Toronto and other engineering locations.
• Contribute to discussions around software architecture and design.
• Support the development of solutions that deliver a high-quality customer experience.
• Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to achieve shared technical and product goals.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on professional experience developing production software with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of a daily development workflow.
• Professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for client-side web development.
• Hands-on experience with React and Redux frameworks.
• Experience working with Node.js and NPM.
• Experience with web-based technologies, concepts, and development constructs.
• Strong interest in software architecture and design.
• Experience with Git and GitHub for source control.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to continuous technical and professional development.
• Commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience developing web applications using modular and componentized approaches.
• Experience working with Agile methodology.
