Neighbourly Pharmacy Inc. is seeking a Front Store Manager for Market Mall Pharmacy in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This full-time role oversees front store operations, staff, inventory, and promotions to drive store performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of retail management experience (preferred).
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills, including motivation, delegation, conflict resolution, active listening, and respectful communication.
  • Professional attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Valid driver’s licence required.
  • Criminal Record Check required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support initiatives aligned with the store’s strategic objectives.
  • Adhere to and promote policy manual, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee returns, complaints, store security, and employee discounts; delegate as appropriate.
  • Manage cash handling, daily reports, banking, and deposits.
  • Ensure proper store opening/closing, alarm activation, and day-end procedures.
  • Oversee front store staffing and performance.
  • With HR, manage hiring, discipline, and termination as needed.
  • Oversee inventory control in line with budgets and supplier programs.
  • Assist with budgeting, purchasing, pricing, and inventory strategies to maximize margins.
  • Set and execute promotional goals, including ordering and setup.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust promotions, product mix, or merchandising.
  • Control shrinkage related to returns, payouts, theft, and pricing errors; ensure proper receiving and pricing.
  • Manage Monthly Cycle Count Schedule and report inventory.
  • Coordinate signage and POP materials, including banners and shelf talkers.
  • Support Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager with miscellaneous tasks.

Market Mall Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Front Store Manager to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support initiatives aligned with the store’s strategic objectives.
  • Adhere to and promote the Neighbourly Pharmacy policy manual, fostering a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and engages employees.
  • Oversee practices related to returns, complaints, store security, and employee discounts, delegating responsibilities where appropriate.
  • Manage or delegate responsibilities for cash handling, daily reports, banking, and deposits.
  • Ensure proper store opening/closing, alarm activation, and day-end procedures.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of front store staffing.
  • In collaboration with HR, manage hiring, discipline, and termination as needed.
  • Oversee inventory control in line with budgets and preferred supplier programs.
  • Assist the Store Operator with budgeting, purchasing, pricing, and inventory strategies to maximize gross margins.
  • Set and execute promotional goals, including ordering and setup.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week (Full-time)
  • The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Regular shifts will be scheduled within these hours, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as required.
