About Us: Sunflower Bake Shop is a cozy country stop located alongside the Forfar Dairy Cheese Store. We're known for our delicious selection of homemade baked goods, including carrot cake, chocolate cake, fresh breads, and more. On any given day, you might find peasant bread loaded with flax, cornmeal, rye, and poppy seeds, or pagnotta, a dense and chewy Italian-style loaf.

In addition to our bakery, we also offer a restaurant menu featuring Halifax Donair, toasted subs with house-roasted turkey, chicken, and Donair.

Breakfast will begin in the summer months. We take pride in providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits.

Job Description: As a Front of House Server, you will be responsible for:

1. Greeting customers and providing excellent service throughout their dining experience
2. Taking orders and entering them into the system accurately
3. Handling cash and processing payments
4. Assisting with setting up and maintaining dining areas
5. Ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any inquiries or concerns
6. Working alongside the kitchen and bakery staff to ensure smooth service

Job Requirements

Requirements:

1. Excellent communication and customer service skills
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
3. Previous experience in a front of house role is a plus but not required
4. Must be available to work full-time for the duration of the seasonal position (mid-April to September)
5. Must be able to work 6 days a week, with shifts ranging from 4 to 8 hours per day
6. Must be able to handle cash transactions
