Base pay range

CA$18.00 / hr - CA$19.00 / hr

Dear Grain Bakery is looking for a caring and friendly team member to join our front of house and mobile-shop team. Someone who loves people; loves food especially bread, coffee, and pastries; and can stay well organized and engaged during busy and slow times. If you have barista experience, it’s a great advantage.

Dear Grain is a sourdough artisan bakery creating high-end breads and pastries for the surrounding communities. We use old techniques in modern ways to deliver a new kind of "bread experience". In our retail shop, we offer our breads, pastries, sandwiches, and fresh coffee (espresso machine). We seek someone who can help connect and share what we offer with our community.

Responsibilities

Our shop showcases our work. Responsibilities include:

1. Caring, outgoing, and naturally friendly demeanor towards customers
2. Fluent English speaking and well-articulated communication
3. Ability to set up a market booth, with strong physical constitution
4. Driving van (valid license, clean record) is an advantage
5. Responsible, timely, and organized

Duties & Responsibilities May Include

1. Opening and closing the shop
2. Educating customers about products
3. Providing service with a smile
4. Preparing coffee as per system (barista duties)
5. Restocking inventory
6. Cleaning the shop inside and out
7. Facilitating markets

Schedule Availability

1. Part-time, 3-4 days per week, 20-25 hours
2. Weekdays and at least one weekend day
