Front Line Leader - Quality

Quality Front Line Leader

The Front Line Leader (Quality Supervisor) will be responsible for leading the daily quality activities for union-covered employees to support a production environment. Will also be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.

What you’ll be doing as a Quality Front Line Leader
  • Directly responsible for the productivity of the team and assigned quality objectives. Evaluate business impact regarding metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
  • Managing in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Achieving objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Engineering, Programs, etc.).
  • Developing, supporting, and implementing process improvements.

  • This candidate should be creative, entrepreneurial, and an empowering team leader
  • This candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and data-driven, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What you need to be successful
  • Bachelor’s degree required (experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • A minimum of five years directly related Quality experience in a leadership or management role preferred.
  • Quality Audit experience and AS9100 knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce is strongly desired.
  • Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma required.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts.
