Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Cochrane, AB is hiring for a frontline associate to greet customers and process transactions at the register, including EAS deactivation. You will promote credit card services, product protection and charity initiatives, assist with bagging, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and refer complex items to supervisors.

Training on self-checkout is included. The position starts at $16.65 per hour and may involve flexible hours in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, i.e. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
