Description:
The role of the Front-end Application Developer:
- SaskTel is seeking candidates with expert knowledge and experience in client-side application frameworks, especially JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, GIT, Java, and WebSphere.
- Preference will be given to candidates with strong IBM WebSphere experience.
Design and build advanced, reliable, and scalable applications meeting high-level requirements and solution designs.Support existing enterprise applications through monitoring and troubleshooting.Excellent problem analysis and solving skills are required.Good written skills for documenting technical designs, research, and support.Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.Knowledge of current architectures, trends, and emerging technologies related to application development.Continuous research and evaluation of new tools, techniques, and processes.Ability to design WCAG-compliant web applications.Understanding of PCI, web security, vulnerabilities, SAML, OAuth Single Sign-On.Ability to collaborate with team members, including business primes, project managers, vendors, developers, engineers, and testers.Mentor and provide technical guidance to cross-functional team members.Work independently and as part of a team.Document designs, new features, research, and troubleshooting efforts.Unit-test code for robustness, usability, and reliability.Lead or participate in peer reviews of design or code.Deploy new features across different environments.Troubleshoot and debug in development or production environments.Collaborate on defining and designing new features.Mentor and support team members.Qualification Requirements:
- The Supplier will complete and submit the Qualification Requirements Summary for each proposed candidate, demonstrating their education, skills, and expertise aligned with SaskTel's requirements. The document is attached in Section 1.2.
- Attach the completed document for each candidate in the appropriate Lot below.
Anticipated Term of Engagement and Start Date:
- The engagement will last approximately one (1) year, with an option to extend for an additional year.
- Extensions depend on project requirements, budget, and performance, with rates remaining unchanged.
- The start date will be determined at contract award, if applicable.
