Job description

We’re looking for a positive and professional hotel front desk agent to deliver an exceptional experience to every guest at our hotel. You’ll welcome guests, manage their information, distribute their keys and room assignments, and answer any general inquiries to ensure they have an excellent stay with us. You will also have housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning duties as needed. The ideal candidate has brilliant communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Responsibilities

  1. Assist with cleaning of common areas, including taking out trash, ensuring the parking lot is trash-free, cleaning windows, cleaning the office and laundry room, blowing leaves and debris, and sweeping walkways
  2. Fold clean laundry once a week and take half upstairs
  3. Clean rooms as needed
  4. Bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all hotel guest account information
  5. Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information
  6. Handle customer complaints as necessary
  7. Coordinate with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready
  8. Take incoming calls, handle online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests

Qualifications

  1. Ability and willingness to clean common areas and guest apartments
  2. Ability to receive and follow instructions on assignments each day
  3. Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skills
  4. Experience in handling telephone calls and stressful situations
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
  6. At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist (preferred)
  7. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Compensation

$15 per hour
