THE ROLE

With 350 rooms and a maximum occupancy of 430, some of our guests are just passing through while others may stay for up to one year. This is no ordinary hotel operation. We are providing a service to the Canadian Armed Forces population, who are living, working and studying while staying with us.

The Front Desk Clerk maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments. They register arriving guests and assign rooms. They answer enquiries regarding hotel services and registration, provide information about services available in the community and respond to guests' complaints. The Front Desk Clerk compiles and checks daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers. They operate a cash register, debit and credit card swipe system and electronic door key system, and present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This position is required to work evenings and weekends.

START DATE

As soon as possible

This is a casual position working no more than 13 1 / 3 hours per week. Casual employees are hired on a temporary basis for a fixed period of time not exceeding twelve months. A new contract can be issued without a break in service.
