The Front Desk Agent will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing superior customer service and administrative support to the Front Office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service and handle administrative duties such as guest check-in and check-out, addressing guest concerns, assisting with group arrivals and departures, and luggage storage.
  • Follow established procedures and policies when completing tasks.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
  • Prepare and send courier packages, ensuring accurate billing and records.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Act as an ambassador for Coast, including greeting guests and handling basic inquiries.
  • Demonstrate a customer service attitude with internal and external contacts.
  • Provide basic data entry and transaction handling services for the Front Office.
  • Input data accurately into the appropriate database.
  • Produce statistics and reports on the data as per standard formats.
  • Report discrepancies in room rates, payment information, and credit arrangements to the appropriate manager for follow-up.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily inputs, including payment transactions, and submit daily shift audits for review.
  • Handle cash, cheques, credit, and debit card transactions in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Beginner level in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Bondable.
  • Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some nights.
