Job description

Overview

We are looking for an energetic, results-driven, and independent individual to join the Western People Experience team, supporting the Frito Lay Sales business. This position is based out of Calgary, with a hybrid working arrangement. Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, this role will be responsible for coordinating and administering a variety of HR related activities:

Responsibilities
  • Support Western Canada’s campus engagement activities in all aspects - evaluating value of new programs/sponsorships, communicating with external partners, organizing with internal teams, assist with campus engagement activities (Networking, student clubs, case competitions etc.) and execution from start to finish
  • Coordinate all employee status changes including new hires, terminations, leave of absence, employee transfers and ensure accurate record keeping
  • Maintain proper documentation, filing, and tracking for various HR programs and protocols ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy of personnel data stored in HR systems and employee files
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting needs
  • Demonstrate solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Display outstanding organizational skills, detail orientation, multi-tasking skills
  • Have the agility to flex with changing responsibilities as the role evolves
  • Support workplace culture initiatives to encourage long-term commitment
  • Act as SAP/MyHR systems support for Employees and Managers as required
  • Support with payroll related inquiries
  • Establish strong relationships with front line employees
  • Support National HR Core Process projects and HR analytics (reporting)
  • Support with administrative HR tasks and scheduling
Qualifications
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business, preferably with an Industrial Relations, or Business/Management focus and applicable degrees
  • Involvement on campus through clubs, athletic teams, volunteering is preferred
  • Previous internships or working experience in Human Resources is preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and own/drive projects from start to finish
  • Savvy communicator with strong relationship management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) is essential
  • Must be able to set priorities & take initiative
