What You’ll Do
Freight Booking & Coordination
Schedule and book freight pickups from vendors for delivery to consolidation centres (Edmonton and Saskatoon).Determine the most appropriate transportation method based on shipment delivery time, size, and dimensions.Coordinate, schedule, and track rush and priority time-sensitive shipments throughout their lifecycle.2. Freight Expediting
Pre-expedite shipments before the ready date at the vendor.Monitor and expedite non-priority (standard) freight to ensure timely delivery.3. Freight Issue Resolution
Investigate and follow up on overages, shortages, and damaged (OS&D) freight.Work with vendors, clients, and carriers to resolve discrepancies and shipment issues efficiently.4. Communication & Relationship Management
Act as the primary liaison between vendors, clients, and carriers to maintain smooth and efficient logistics operations.5. Data Management
Maintain accurate and current records in freight management systems.Ensure all shipment data is tracked, updated, and reconciled as needed.6. Reporting & Logistics Support
Generate freight and shipment-related reports, including delayed order reports.Provide support to broader logistics and supply chain coordination efforts.What You Bring
