What You’ll Do

Freight Booking & Coordination

  • Schedule and book freight pickups from vendors for delivery to consolidation centres (Edmonton and Saskatoon).
  • Determine the most appropriate transportation method based on shipment delivery time, size, and dimensions.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track rush and priority time-sensitive shipments throughout their lifecycle.
  • 2. Freight Expediting

  • Pre-expedite shipments before the ready date at the vendor.
  • Monitor and expedite non-priority (standard) freight to ensure timely delivery.
  • 3. Freight Issue Resolution

  • Investigate and follow up on overages, shortages, and damaged (OS&D) freight.
  • Work with vendors, clients, and carriers to resolve discrepancies and shipment issues efficiently.
  • 4. Communication & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between vendors, clients, and carriers to maintain smooth and efficient logistics operations.
  • 5. Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and current records in freight management systems.
  • Ensure all shipment data is tracked, updated, and reconciled as needed.
  • 6. Reporting & Logistics Support

  • Generate freight and shipment-related reports, including delayed order reports.
  • Provide support to broader logistics and supply chain coordination efforts.
