Job Opportunity: Service Writer at Freshwater Auto Centre

Our client, Freshwater Auto Centre, is hiring a Service Writer to join their team in St. John's, NL. This role reports to the Manager and involves being the main point of contact for customers and the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming customers and discussing their needs
  • Answering inquiries in person and by phone
  • Developing repair estimates considering costs of materials, supplies, and labor
  • Preparing repair orders by detailing vehicle issues and confirming problems with customers
  • Maintaining automotive records of problems and solutions
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to customers
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and pre-booking maintenance services
  • Informing customers about service updates and car pickup times
  • Communicating with technicians and handling overflow appointment calls
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities
