Job Posting: Freshwater Aquaculture Technician

The Role: As a result of our robust growth, we require a Hatchery Technician at our Bay Fortune Hatchery to help with early rearing and breeding activities associated with our new land-based facility.

Primary Duties:

  1. Assist with daily operations
  2. Monitor and maintain water quality in RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems)
  3. Data collection and entry into inventory control program

Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:

  1. Experience with early rearing of Atlantic salmon considered an asset
  2. Experience with RAS considered an asset
  3. Good organizational skills, tidiness, and work ethic
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  5. Preference will be given to applicants with post-secondary education in aquaculture
