The Opportunity:

Blyth Academy is seeking a passionate French teacher at our Downsview Park Location to engage students and deliver exceptional experiential learning in Ontario curriculum courses. Working in collaboration with a dedicated administrative team, Blyth Academy teachers have the opportunity to make curriculum come alive and provide individualized learning experiences in classes with low student to teacher ratios and be part of a vibrant school community leading extracurricular activities. The position is Full-time for 4th term from April 22 to June 30th, 2025.

About the Role/Job Duties:

  • Teach Ontario curriculum subjects in your field of expertise in accordance with MOE expectations.
  • Use a variety of teaching methodologies tailored to each student's learning style and needs.
  • Evaluate student progress using appropriate and diverse assessment techniques, providing constructive feedback to students and reporting results to parents regularly.
  • Create a rich, experiential learning environment in the classroom and in the school community.
  • Work with Blyth Academy administration, guidance counselors, parents, and professionals to enhance learning and support student success.
  • Opportunity to grow as a school leader and administrator by taking on extracurricular activities and special projects.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in your area of specialty.
  • OCT certification is an asset.
  • Subject matter expertise in the course curriculum and passion for creating experiential learning opportunities.
  • Experience teaching junior/intermediate/secondary school students in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines is preferred.
  • Ability to create an inclusive, positive learning environment and use differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Empathetic approach and commitment to student success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced school environment.
