Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking Teaching Assistants/Demonstrators/Lab Monitors (CUPE) for the Department of Biology, Students & Casuals. The positions cover multiple labs starting January 1, 2027 and ending April 30, 2027, with a total of six positions available. Rate depends on undergraduate or graduate status.

Applicants must have BIO1550 or equivalent, complete SIMDUT/WHMIS and OH&S workshops, and participate in French-language labs each week from 14:30 to 17:20.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of BIO1550 or course equivalent(s).
• Whimis and Occupational Health and Safety workshops completed.

Responsibilities

• Laboratories computer labs – 1 lab per week, 14:30–17:20 (in French).
• Undergraduate/graduate students will be paid at different rates depending on status.
