French Language Communications Coordinator

The Conservative Party of Canada is seeking a dynamic and politically astute French Language Communications Coordinator to help shape and deliver our message to francophone Canadians. About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will play a key role in ensuring the Party’s French-language content is accurate, persuasive, and aligned with our national communications strategy. From scripts to press releases, social media to rapid response, you’ll help ensure our message resonates with francophone audiences across the country.

What You'll Do

  • Translate, write, and edit French-language materials including media releases, scripts, internal communications, and digital content
  • Adapt English content into polished French while preserving tone, strategy, and political nuance
  • Scan francophone media and social platforms for trends, issues, and sentiment that matter to conservative audiences
  • Provide strategic input to support Party messaging from a francophone cultural perspective
  • Monitor and respond swiftly to emerging news and political developments
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure messaging coherence in both official languages

What You Bring

  • Exceptional fluency in French and strong working English proficiency
  • Sound political judgment and a deep understanding of federal politics and Quebec / francophone political culture
  • Proven ability to write and translate high-impact content under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills
  • A commitment to conservative principles and a passion for political communications

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in communications, journalism, political science, French, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in political communications, journalism, or government relations (preferred)
  • Willingness to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the political news cycle

Compensation

The approximate salary range for this position is $57,000–$77,000 per year, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, and expected performance in the role.
