Job description

A global Industrial machine manufacturing company is looking for a French / English Bilingual Field Service Technician based out of the Calgary, AB area. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automation equipment repair / Trouble shoot or have a mechanical academic background. Sales training will be provided. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Nature of the job, this will requires request travel to Western Canada region - British Columbia to Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities of French / English Bilingual Field Service Technician :

• Travel locally and nationwide to customer locations to perform any technical problems and perform on-site repair
• Communicate with customers via telephone to troubleshoot
• Perform preventative maintenance and suggest tool / parts replacement if needed.
• Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairs
• Clearly and professionally interact with customers and potential customers.
• Document and report any issues
• Provide top customer service to clients
• Show attention to detail
• Attending trade shows to promote company's products.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of French / English Bilingual Field Service Technician :

• Associate’s degree in engineering preferred or a 2-year Technical Degree
• Ability to speak French in business level or above
• Prefers to have Sales or customer service experience in industrial machine industry but not mandatory.
• 1+ years maintenance or related experience (Such as Intern or Apprenticeship) required (such as the Industrial, Manufacturing or Automotive industry)
• Available for frequent travel up to 80%~90% locally and nation wide (mainly Western Canada), occasional international travel.
• Able to travel for projects, including some overnight. Travel would be Monday through Friday.
• Great communication skills in read, speak and write.
• Familiarity with Press brake Machines, CNC, Lasers, or EDM equipment is a big plus
• Must have valid deriver's license
• This position is in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts / equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
