McGill University invites applications for a student facilitator in the Rayonnement du français program. The role supports social, cultural and experiential activities to practice French for the McGill community, with campus events and outings in Montreal and beyond.
We seek enrolled undergrad or graduate students with strong French, who are personable, punctual and creative. Workload is 5–10 hours per week, on campus, from Nov 1, 2026 to Apr 30, 2027, with potential additional hours as needed.
Hiring Unit: Office of the Associate Provost, Rayonnement du français
The Rayonnement du français team creates informal, social, cultural and experiential opportunities to live and practise French, for students and members of the McGill community. These activities are open to anyone who wants to practise French, socialize in French, or simply live more of their McGill experience in French, whatever their level or relationship to the language. Successful candidates will join a team of student facilitators who bring this programming to life, from conversation circles and social activities on campus to cultural events and outings in Montreal and beyond. The goal is to give participants memorable experiences in French throughout their time at McGill, help them build connections, and introduce them to the diversity of French‑speaking cultures in a friendly and engaging setting.
The schedule is flexible, from 5 to 10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours depending on the successful candidate's availability and the needs of the program. Schedules are set around each facilitator's classes and availability. The successful candidate must be able to be present on campus and take part in the activities and outings planned as part of the programming.
